During the session of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) on May 15th, an amendment to the Act on the principles of development policy was adopted. One of its important assumptions is the creation of the Social Climate Fund. The fund will support entities at risk of energy poverty, including: small entrepreneurs.
The establishment of the fund is in line with the European Union's intention for Member States to support the most vulnerable entities during the ongoing energy transition.
The fund will enable not only financing investments in the energy sector, but also financial support for energy consumers most at risk of energy poverty.
The financial resources allocated to achieve the Fund's objectives amount to as much as PLN 50 billion.
These funds will be available from 2026.
We encourage SME entities to follow further information on energy support. Previous support programs were mainly addressed to larger entities. While the problem of high energy prices affects all entrepreneurs.
If you would like additional information about the available and planned forms of support in the field of energy, please contact the PwC Public Aid team. We will be happy to answer all your questions in this regard.
