On March 9, 2022, a Regulation of the Ministry of Finance of March 7, 2022 amending the regulation on the determination of other deadlines for fulfilling the obligations in the field of records and in the preparation, approval, disclosure and transfer to the relevant register, unit or a reporting or information authority was published.
Moreover, on March 18, 2022, a Regulation of the Ministry of Finance of March 17, 2022 on the extension of the deadlines for the performance of certain obligations in the field of corporate income tax was published.
Statutory Financial Statements
The deadline for preparation, approval and submission of financial statements, including consolidated statements, was also extended. The extension applies to:
- private sector entities (excluding entities supervised by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority - operating on the financial market) and non-governmental organizations - by 3 months;
- public finance sector units - by 1 month;
- taxpayers of personal income tax keeping books of accounts (in the scope of submitting financial statements to the Head of KAS) - by 3 months.
Pursuant to the regulation, the deadline is extended, in particular, concerning: inventory, preparation of a statement of turnover and balances, preparation of financial statements, its submission and approval for selected units. The regulation also extends the deadlines for the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Corporate Income Tax
Moreover, the deadline for submitting the CIT return and for CIT payment is extended until June 30, 2022 for:
- taxpayers whose tax year ended in the period from December 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022;
- taxpayers who are taxed with a lump sum on the income of the company, if the first year of taxation of these companies begins in the period from January 1, 2022 to March 1, 2022.
The extension applies to all taxpayers of corporate income tax, including taxpayers taxed with a lump sum on company income.
The regulation does not address the obligation to submit other year end related tax forms, such as for example IFT-2R or ORD-U.
