The border crossing restrictions applicable until 31 August and the quarantine obligation for visitors were extended without major changes until the end of September 2021.

As a reminder, in accordance with the Regulation of the Council of Ministers on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with an epidemic, exempt from compulsory quarantine are, among others:

  • people vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine that has been authorized in the European Union,
  • people recovered from COVID,
  • pupils and students,
  • persons crossing the internal border in the performance of professional, business or gainful activities.

With the amendment of 31 August, the catalogs of people released from quarantine were extended to include participants of international conferences organized by state and local authorities.

Persons traveling from outside the Schengen area and not falling into any of the categories of exempted persons are, so far, subject to a 10-day quarantine, which is reduced to 7 days subject to a negative test result. People traveling from the Schengen area, who do not belong to any of the privileged categories, may in turn be released from quarantine, provided that they obtain a negative test, carried out within 48 hours of crossing the border.
